The deadline for the inaugural Northern California Women’s Music Festival Poetry Contest, being held in conjunction with the Modesto-Stanislaus Poetry Center, is coming fast–September 1st! The Northern California Women’s Music Festival will be held on October 23rd and 24th in downtown Modesto. This includes the poetry portion of the event with readings by the winners of the poetry contest and the launch of the chapbook honoring this festival. Buy your tickets now. George A. Rogers Park Fundraiser
A fundraiser for George A. Rogers Park which honors the memory of the much-loved George Rogers, teacher, poet, and musician, will be held on Sept 19. Information about tickets is in the flyer below. This event will also be the launch of the new chapbook of George’s poetry, definitely something to read and enjoy. All proceeds benefit the park and programs for children.
